  1. The first conversation

Kelly learns about your family, the stage you are in, what you want to remember, who will be photographed, and where you imagine your portraits living in your home.

  2. Planning your session

Together you plan what to wear, where the session should happen, who will be included, timing, children and the overall feeling of the portraits — studio, in-home or at a location you love.

  3. Your portrait session

Kelly gently guides posing while leaving room for natural in-between moments: connection, movement, tenderness and real family energy.

  4. The design session

After your session, Kelly guides you through your photographs and helps you choose what belongs on your walls, in an album or as part of a printed collection — calm, helpful and unhurried.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions families ask most often before they begin — answered clearly, without overwhelm.

Do we need to know what artwork we want before booking?

No. The experience is designed to help you work that out. Kelly can guide your session with the finished artwork in mind.

What happens during the first conversation?

Kelly learns about your family, the stage you are in, what you want to preserve, who will be photographed, and what kind of artwork or keepsakes may suit your home.

Can Kelly help us choose what to wear?

Yes. Styling guidance is part of the planning so your portraits feel cohesive and comfortable.

What if my children do not sit still?

That is normal. Kelly gently guides families while allowing movement, connection and real moments.

When do we choose our photographs?

After your portrait session, during the design session.

Can you help me get my artwork on the wall?

Yes. Kelly Jordan Photography provides a 1:1 size printed template to make placing wall art simple. The template helps you see exactly where the artwork will sit before hanging.

Do we have to come to the studio for the design session?

Design appointments can be held in the Ararat studio or by video call for clients in Melbourne and other locations.

Are digital files included?

Each printed photograph you order, you will receive the digital copy. Your portrait experience is built around creating finished artwork for your home.
